Last week we had the pleasure of welcoming the new school starters to IPM. They were welcomed by the teachers and educators of the IPM and then went on their way to get to know their future after-school and classroom.
Of course, in preparation for school, some learning could not be missing.
The children created and tinkered with a wide variety of constructions in small, self-selected groups. In this way, they were able to expand their technical and mathematical skills, as well as strengthen teamwork within the class.
Thus, one or the other new friendship was already made.
Finally, after all the learning, there was some frolicking outside in our schoolyard until it was time for our first graders to go home.
