Read Aloud Day

Reading aloud is not only important for learning to read, it also stimulates children's imaginations and allows them to explore other worlds and areas of knowledge. It therefore promotes understanding and strengthens empathy. Every year, IPM uses Read Aloud Day to introduce children to the world of books.

On 15.11.2024, our pupils therefore had the opportunity to choose their favorites from a variety of books and listen to the exciting stories at the various stations. From the "Sock Search Machine" to the "Double Lottchen" to the "Atlas of Animals" to the "Letter Eater" and much more. There was something for everyone. There were various tasks to solve for each book. So the children had to listen carefully.

By immersing themselves in the various stories, the day contributed to the joy of reading and reading aloud and awakened the children's interest in new stories and adventures. Perhaps one or two of them will even have a new book under the Christmas tree?
